Bank of Commerce Welcomes New Board Members

Bank of Commerce is pleased to announce the addition of two new board members, Isaac Sayle and Pate Shackelford.

Isaac Whitten (“Ike”) Sayle was born and raised in Charleston, MS. He attended Delta State University, followed by The University of Mississippi, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. Upon graduating, Sayle returned home to the family business, Sayle Oil Company, where he acts as President and CEO.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve my community as part of the Bank of Commerce board,” says Sayle.

Sayle is currently on the Tallahatchie General Hospital Board of Trustees and was previously on the Tallahatchie County Bank Board of Directors. He is married to Elaine Rowland Sayle and has three children and seven grandchildren.

Pate Shackelford is a lifelong resident of Carroll County, MS. He is a 1972 graduate of Pillow Academy and graduated from Belhaven College in 1977, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in economics. Shackelford is also a 1982 graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking. In 1977, Shackelford joined Peoples Bank and Trust Co. located in North Carrollton, where he became President and CEO in 2016.

“I am passionate about serving the people of Carroll County,” says Shackelford. “It’s a privilege to continue this service as a board member with Bank of Commerce.”

He and his wife, Carla Shackelford, have one son, Pate Jr.

“We’re greatly looking forward to the wealth of knowledge and experience both Mr. Sayle and Mr. Shackelford will bring to our already outstanding group,” says Bryan Thornhill, President & CEO of Bank of Commerce.
