A trust is a special relationship between the customer and the bank's Trust Department. Property of all kinds is managed by the Trust Department for the benefit of the customer or the beneficiary.

The Bank of Commerce's Trust Department can provide investment management and trust services to meet your long-range financial objectives. An experienced staff works with you, your accountant and your attorney to devise the right financial plan for you. All accounts are subject to approval by our Trust Committee.

Basic Trust Services:

  • Trust Under Will - A trust created by a valid will to become operative only on the death of the testator.
  • Living Trust - A trust that becomes operative during the lifetime of a settler.
  • Estate Administration - Nominated in the will and appointed by the court to settle the estate of the testator.
  • Individual Retirement Investment Account Trust - A retirement savings program for individuals to which yearly tax deductible contributions up to a specified limit can be made. The amounts contributed are not taxed until withdrawal. The owner of the account makes all the investment decisions. The Trust Department provides safekeeping of records and securities.
  • Conservatorship - Appointed by the court to care for and manage the property of an incompetent person.
